A Manifest of Perspective. An Archive of Illusion.
Originally debuted at York County Fashion Week in 2019, "the iLLusion"-featuring the double 'L' to signify designer Larry Lee's foundational signature-is the definitive expression of perspective in form.
This ensemble is an exploration of the duality within the self. The architectural spacer fabric acts as a minimalist sanctuary, contrasting sharply with the visceral, hand-painted artwork.
The centerpiece image is a complex three-faces-in-one composition, requiring the viewer to "absorb the entire piece" to appreciate the beauty within the illusion.
The Architecture:
• The Cape & Painting: A dramatic, fluid cape in premium architectural spacer fabric. On the reverse, a visceral, hand-painted artwork featuring an abstract three-faces-in-one composition.
• Adaptive Display: More than a garment, this cape is engineered to function as framable fine art, allowing the owner to transition the piece from body to gallery wall.
• The Ensemble: Includes a tailored high-waist pant, a structural belt, and an oversized turtleneck long-sleeve crop shirt-each engineered for a flawless, monochromatic silhouette.
• Runway Heritage: A cornerstone archival piece from the 2019 York County Fashion Week presentation; this artifact is the bedrock of our design philosophy.
Technical Note:
This artifact is showcased through high-fidelity digital rendering to provide an exact architectural depiction of its form and movement. Every detail shown is a precise reflection of the physical garment you will receive.
Exclusively tailored. A sovereign artifact from the 2019 Archive.
